Squirrel Rathbun Hijacks the Haitian disaster to forward his suppressive agenda

I am constantly amazed at the depths to which the squirrel Mark Rathbun will sink. He has just posted an article slamming the Church of Scientology for trying to help the Haitians in their hour of need.

Rathbun accuses the Church of using the disaster as a PR opportunity, but the fact is that is exactly what he is trying to do. He is trying to milk the disaster for his own ends. It is not the other way around.

By his own admission, he only donated $25 to help the Haitians. $25 is not a donation to an emergency fund – it is a pathetic token.

Instead of actually helping, Rathbun attacks a well meaning staff member who is thinking from his post. He wants to send out assists for illness and injuries booklets to the people in Haiti who have been affected by the catastrophe, to help them recover from illness and injury. To Rathbun that is evidence of evil on the part of top management in Scientology. It is an illogical leap of thinking and an outright lie – a cheap shot. And his baying acolytes join in with stupidities of their own.

The fact is that Scientology immediately paid to get 100 doctors and nurses into Haiti along with a first wave of 50 Volunteer Ministers, and were the first plane into Haiti. Go to their blog and find out what they are actually DOING in Haiti. http://blog.volunteerministers.org/ The top left shows the latest news. A second flight with more supplies and people has been sent. More volunteers are streaming in each day.

While Rathbun uses this disaster as a means to grind his own personal ax, the fact that the IAS and Scientologists are DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

In a patronizing and 1.1. article Mark Rathbun says:

“Please look at Albert Maslow’s famous Hierarchy of Needs. I don’t think giving out booklets would be at the top of the list.
1.Physiological: hunger, thirst, bodily comforts, etc.
2.Safety/security: out of danger.
3.Belongingness and Love: affiliate with others, be accepted; and
4.Esteem: to achieve, be competent, gain approval and recognition
5.Cognitive: to know, to understand, and explore;
6.Aesthetic: symmetry, order, and beauty; …”

Well Rathbun, I am sorry to be the one to point it out to you, but the IAS, the doctors and nurses they have sponsored and the Volunteer Ministers that are out there are providing 1 – 6 of the above. They are actually doing it. You are doing squat to help. What you are doing is devaluing their actual contribution and instead trying to use the disaster to forward your own ends. That someone wants to follow up with the LRH tech on how to give assist to handle injuries is not an outpoint. You are sick and should seek help.
